Kopar participates in Copper 2025 in Arizona
Kopar will participate in Copper 2025 from 16 to 20 November in Arizona, USA. The event will bring together copper smelting experts from around the world to discuss the latest technologies and sustainable production solutions in the industry.
Eero Lehtilä to speak at Copper 2025 event
Kopar's Technology Director Eero Lehtilä will give a presentation on “Mechanical Conveying and Crushing of Waste Heat Boiler Dust.”
Based on recent research, Eero will show how intelligent design in the material handling of waste-heat boilers (WHB) improves process efficiency and equipment durability.
The speech will focus in particular on:

- optimising mechanical transport to manage the challenges of high temperatures and abrasive dust,
- optimised structures to protect the chains and frame from deformation
- extending the life cycle of conveyor solutions with advanced materials such as boron steel chains, and
- improving system availability and heat recovery efficiency through reliable dust removal.
Sustainable solutions for demanding conditions
The operational environment of copper smelters is one of the most challenging in the process industry. Kopar has developed its solutions specifically for these conditions, combining strong mechanical design expertise with decades of experience in dust and material handling systems.
Eero's presentation will provide concrete insights into how durable and low-maintenance solutions support sustainable and efficient metal production.
