La capacidad de refrigeraci\u00f3n puede ser de hasta 1 MW por unidad. Esto permite enfriar eficazmente cenizas de fondo calientes de 900\u00b0C a unos 200\u00b0C, incluso a capacidades de m\u00e1s de 5 t\/h, y cenizas volantes de unos 250\u00b0C t\u00edpicos a bastante menos de 100\u00b0C y pr\u00e1cticamente por debajo de 50\u00b0C.
