In the pulp and paper industry, production is continuous, and an unexpected interruption is immediately reflected in the operation of the entire facility. Material handling therefore requires, above all, operational reliability: equipment must withstand abrasive and fine-grained materials for years and be serviceable during scheduled shutdowns. Kopar's mechanical conveyors reliably transport both raw materials for production processes and ash generated in energy production. The design is always tailored to the material being handled, whether it is fine and dusty matter or hot and abrasive ash.<\/p>\n

Screw conveyors are suitable for the transfer of both dry and wet materials. The robust construction of scraper conveyors is particularly well suited to hot and abrasive fractions, such as bottom and fly ash. With wet ash conveyors, the ash is removed from the boiler in a cooled state. Pneumatic conveying is the most natural choice when the material is fine and dusty, or when it needs to be transferred in a closed system over a longer distance. Typical applications in a pulp and paper mill include the conveying of soda recovery boiler fly ash and the transfer of pigments, fillers and other fine additives from reception to storage silos and further into the process.<\/p>\n

Our pressure conveyors move material energy-efficiently and gently on the equipment. Pneumatic conveying is suitable for less abrasive materials and the even feeding of additives. Cooling is needed above all in the factory's energy production, where the ash generated in combustion must be cooled before transport, storage or further processing. KRC coolers are designed for large volumes of ash, and smaller quantities can be cooled with cooling screw conveyors. The choice of equipment is made according to the volume of ash, the temperature and the boundary conditions of the process.<\/p>\n

The handling of moist materials often requires a drying phase before they are returned to the process or further utilised. Kopari's drying drums are based on direct drying, where the material to be dried is in direct contact with hot gases inside the drum. This ensures that heat and moisture are transferred efficiently, and the end result remains consistent even when the moisture content of the material varies.<\/p>\n

Crushing and screening solutions ensure the consistency and handleability of the material. Our crushers break down agglomerated and sintered material, and the screens separate the fractions from each other prior to further processing or return to the process.<\/p>\n

Our drum screens separate up to three fractions in a single screening pass, enabling, for example, the return of clean bed material to the boiler and the separation of fines for further processing. Both the production process and energy generation require storage in addition to conveyors. We supply silos and tanks along with their associated equipment as part of the same package, keeping responsibility for the system's functionality with a single supplier.<\/p>\n

Handling of lime-sand mortar and lime<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
